Who We Are

MARTIN HOFFENBERG - President and CEO

Thirty years experience as corporate attorney, business executive and business owner.

- Juris Doctor degree from St. Johns Univeristy School of Law and participation in masters program in corporate law at New York University School of Law

- Associate and Partner in law firms specializing in corporate law

- Vice President, General Counsel, Secretary and member of the Board of Directors of Air Express International Corporation, a public company with 120 offices throughout the world.

- President and CEO of Amertranz Worldwide Inc. a company that Mr. Hoffenberg started and built into a network of 30 offices within the United States, Europe and South America.

- President of Synergex a company with offices throughout North America.

- Chairman of Aerostar Global; a company founded by Mr. Hoffenberg in which he sold his interest in 2007.

BUSINESS COMMENTARY

We use this area to offer our comments as to current business issues and seek your responses to our comments. Comments can be sent to m.hoffenberg@hoffenbergllc.com in the expection that our dialogue will lead to a greater understanding.

As we enter into 2008 we face an uncertain business environment. There are those that predict an imminent recession. We find a severe housing crisis combined with potential liquidity problems faced by our financial institutions. Oil prices are at all time record levels resulting in increased costs throughout our economy. We face a nervous and erratic  stock market.

It is a good time for management to review its plans and goals for 2008. Steps should be taken to reduce costs where possible. If fixed costs can be replaced by outsourcing on a variable cost basis it should be carefully evaluated. Strategic partnerships that can enhance sales without increasing overhead costs should be considered. Sourcing product from lower cost areas should be implemented.  Seeking out strategic acquisitions during difficult economic times can provide great value.

This is not a time to panic as in many areas our economy is doing well.  Nevertheless, even difficult times can provide opportunities.
